{"id":46781,"date":"2019-10-15T17:38:43","date_gmt":"2019-10-15T21:38:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=46781"},"modified":"2019-10-15T17:38:43","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T21:38:43","slug":"neil-patrick-harris-matrix-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2019\/10\/15\/neil-patrick-harris-matrix-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Neil Patrick Harris Cast In MATRIX 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/neil-patrick-harris.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46782\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/neil-patrick-harris.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"340\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Neil Patrick Harris has been cast in the upcoming <strong>Matrix 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Variety has broken the news that actor will be appearing in the forthcoming sequel to the iconic science-fiction trilogy of the early 2000s.<\/p>\n<p>Harris will be joining returning <strong>Matrix<\/strong> stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss as well as fellow franchise newcomer Yahya Abdul-Mateen.<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, plot details are being kept tightly under wrap, including specifics about Harris\u2019s role.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matrix<\/strong> franchise co-creator Lana Wachowski is set to direct from a screenplay she has co-written with Aleksander Hemon and Davis Mitchell.<\/p>\n<p>Although the actor has primarily earned his way in comedic roles, notably as the lothario Barney Stintson on the sitcom <em>How I Met Your Mother<\/em> or as a broad caricature of himself in the <strong>Harold And Kumar<\/strong> films, Harris has flexed his acting muscles in dramatic roles as well. His most recent dramatic turn was in 2014\u2019s <strong>Gone Girl<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I have to admit that I have not been too enthusiastic about a return to the <strong>Matrix<\/strong> franchise, especially so many years after what felt like a definite conclusion.
