Dano will be playing the iconic Batman villain the Riddler.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, the Hollywood Reporter is stating that the character,s name will be Edward Nashton instead of the usual Edward Nygma from the comics.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes quickly on the heels of word that negotiations between studio Warner Brothers and actor Jonah Hill who was being touted as being interested in playing either the Riddler or the Penguin had fallen through.<\/p>\n<p>The Riddler is just one of a number of Batman Rogues Gallery members who are rumored to appear in the film. Some reports have stated that the movie\u2019s storyline will be based at least in part on the 1996 miniseries\/graphic novel<em> The Long Halloween<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Pattinson is set to star as Bruce Wayne, the billionaire who fights Gotham City crime at night as the Batman.
