John Wick<\/strong> fans have not one but two further installments of the franchise to look forward to.<\/p>\n

During their quarterly earnings call, Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer revealed that the plan is to start shooting John Wick 4<\/strong> and John Wick 5<\/strong> concurrently early next year with a targeted release date for John Wick 4 on Memorial Day weekend 2022. No date for John Wick 5<\/strong> was announced.<\/p>\n

Keanu Reeves stars in the franchise as an assassin-for-hire who has become the target of the various secret organizations that make up the criminal underworld.<\/p>\n

The move doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The John Wick<\/strong> franchise is pretty much the crown jewel for Lionsgate, with the first three films having brought in about $584.2 million at the box office. The studio also has a spinoff TV series titled The Continental<\/em>, set at the posh New York hotel that serves as neutral-ground in the John Wick<\/strong> world of assassins, set to debut on Starz after the fourth movie’s release.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
