Class is back in session at Clone High<\/em>, as HBO Max has just ordered a two-season revival of the 2003 MTV animated series.<\/p>\n

Set in a high school, the series featured the teenaged clones of such historical figures as Abe Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Gandhi, Cleopatra and John F Kennedy who had been created for a vague, nefarious purpose by a government entity called the Secret Board of Shadowy Figures. The clones are primarily just trying to navigate the usual problems high schoolers have, mostly oblivious to the fact that to the machinations of the military that created them.<\/p>\n

Clone High<\/em> was created by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Bill Lawrence and ran for one 13-episode season in 2003. All three will be returning to work on the revival, alongside former show writer Erica Rivinoja, who selve as showrunner for the new iteration.<\/p>\n

This is now the third MTV animated series to be revived, with Beavis And Butthead<\/em> getting an order for new episodes<\/a> for Comedy Central, while that show’s spinoff Daria<\/em> is getting a spinoff of its own titled Jodie<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The original series is currently available to stream on CBS All Access, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it were to show up on HBO Max at some point in anticipation of the new series.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
