Natasha Lyonne is teaming up with writer\/director Rian Johnson for the mystery series Poker Face<\/em>.<\/p>\n

According to Deadline<\/a> the pair took the project out to a number of outlets with Peacock winning the show, placing a 10-episode straight-to-series order.<\/p>\n

Although details of the premise are scarce, Johnson revealed a bit in a statement –<\/p>\n

I’m very excited to dig into the type of fun, character driven, case-of-the-week mystery goodness I grew up watching. It’s my happy place. Having Natasha as a partner in crime is a dream, and we’ve found the perfect home at Peacock.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although this is Johnson’s first television series, he is no stranger to the mystery genre. His debut feature was the high school-set neo-noir Brick<\/strong> and his most recent film was the mystery Knives Out<\/strong>. Johnson nabbed a Best Original Screenplay Oscar nomination for Knives Out<\/strong> in 2019.<\/p>\n
