Here is a pair of pictures from Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming two-part bio-pic Che<\/strong>, starring Benico del Toro as the South American Marxist revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara. The first of the films, The Argentine<\/strong>, covers the controversial figure’s life up through the Cuban Revolution, while Guerrilla<\/strong> will cover Guevara’s post-Cuban Revolution life as a leader of various third world Marxist uprisings.<\/p>\n

Based on my own sketchy knowledge of Guevara\u2019s life, I would hazard a guess that we\u2019re looking at one picture from each of the two films.<\/p>\n

Oddly enough, though, Focus Features has only picked up The Argentine<\/strong> for US distribution. Guerrilla<\/strong> is still looking for a distributor, though that could change after both films screen back-to-back at the Cannes Festival later this week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
