The CW is developing yet another new show for its ongoing Arrowverse franchise of series based off of DC Comics characters. The new series, titled Justice U<\/em>, will see David Ramsey return to the Arrowverse as his character of John Diggle for the potential new series.<\/p>\n

According to the report in Deadline<\/a> –<\/p>\n

In the new series, which is set in the Arrowverse, after years of fighting alongside masked heroes, Diggle embarks on a new mission to recruit five young meta humans to live undercover as freshmen at a prestigious university. There he will oversee their education and train them to become the heroes of tomorrow.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is no word as to who those five young heroes could be, either as new characters or ones we may have already seen in one of the number interconnected Arrowverse shows.<\/p>\n

Justice U<\/em> is the brain child of Superman & Lois<\/em> co-exec producer Michael Narducci and Grey’s Anatomy<\/em> exec producer Zoanne Clack. The show will be produced through Arrowverse overseer Greg Berlanti’s production shingle Berlanti Productions.<\/p>\n

As part of a directing deal that Ramsey made with Berlanti Productionns, he will also be directing the pilot episode of the show, and possibly additional episodes if it gets picked up to series.<\/p>\n

Ramsey’s character has a long history in the franchise, first appearing in the very first season of the foundational Arrow<\/em> series. John Diggle started out as an unwanted bodyguard to billionaire Oliver Queen, who was secretly the superhero Green Arrow. After he found out his bosses secret identity, he became a part of his support group, Team Arrow. He eventually started going on missions alongside Green Arrow and a number of the other superheroes they would interact with under the name Sentinel. As Diggle, Ramsey has also crossed-over into other Arrowverse series for appearances on Supergirl<\/em>, Legends Of Tomorrow<\/em>, The Flash<\/em>, Batwoman<\/em> and Superman & Lois<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
