Ever since Amazon announced that it was developing a television series based in the Middle Earth realm created by author J R R Tolkien for his seminal fantasy works The Hobbit<\/em> and The Lord Of The Rings<\/em>, we have refrained from calling it just The Lord Of The Rings<\/em>, especially as evidence continued to mount that the series was not going to be an adaptation of that story, but delve deep into the Middle Earth’s past several thousand years to a time when the powerful One Ring of Sauron was forged. Not so, many other outlets. <\/p>\n

But now the time has come to for all of us to use the same title, as Amazon has announced that their Middle Earth series will be called The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power<\/em>.<\/p>\n

You can see the one minute announcement video below. There is no new footage from the series itself, but it does feature Morfydd Clark, who will be playing the character of Galadriel, reciting the inscription that is found inside the One Ring.<\/p>\n
