David Letterman may have signed off the air seven years ago, but fans can still see classic comedy bits from the late night talk show host’s tenure thanks to the new YouTube channel<\/a> Letterman has launched today, to mark the 40th anniversary of the premier of Late Night With David Letterman<\/em> on NBC.<\/p>\n

The channel features well remembered recurring comedy bits like the Top Ten lists, Stupid Pet Tricks and Elevator Races, as well as stand-up sets from a number of the comedians who have appeared on the show, interviews with celebrities and more from across the 33 years Letterman headlined Late Night<\/em> on NBC and then The Late Show<\/em> on CBS.<\/p>\n

Other famous moments from the show’s history already available on the channel include Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler\u2019s infamous brawl, Barrack Obama’s 2004 interview which first brought him into the national spotlight, the time Dave worked the drive-through window at a Taco Bell and more.<\/p>\n

The channel also has a playlist of videos featuring former staffers from the show talking about their jobs and favorite memories from their time there.<\/p>\n

The one thing that the channel doesn’t have right now is full episodes. This is most likely due to music rights surrounding music guests and other places where it was used.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
