Marvel superhero Daredevil will be returning to screens. <\/p>\n

Marvel Studios is in development on of a new Daredevil<\/em> TV series for the Disney+ streaming service.<\/p>\n

Previously, the blind superhero who kept the streets of New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen safe had three seasons worth of adventures on Netflix as part of a package of series featuring more street-level Marvel superheroes including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.<\/p>\n

Matt Corman and Chris Ord , who created the series Covert Affairs<\/em> for the USA Network, are set to write and executive produce. <\/p>\n

Well this news was only a matter of time. <\/p>\n

Following the streaming rights reversion of the Marvel Netflix shows back to Disney, both Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and his nemesis Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), have shown up in current Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. Daredevil’s alter-ego, lawyer Matt Murdoch, appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/strong>, where he cleared Peter Parker of the murder of a villain for which he had been framed. Kingpin showed up in the Hawkeye<\/em> Disney+ series as the head of an organized crime family that the show’s titular avenging archer runs afoul of. <\/p>\n

Fans, of course, have been active on social media campaigning for more of these, and many other, of the Netflix series characters. There is some hope that the character of Matt Murdoch will show up in Disney+’s She-Hulk<\/em>, a series premiering next month where the lead character is also a lawyer-by-trade before becoming a superhero.<\/p>\n

Currently, Marvel’s Disney+ output has pushed the boundary of what could be considered “family friendly,” but the Marvel shows from Netflix leapt well past that line. When Disney placed them on their own service, they made sure that they were behind a password layer to ensure that younger children don’t get access to them without parental consent. It remains to be seen if this new series will match that level of violence or if it will be toned down somewhat to match the level of the other Marvel Disney+ shows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
