The Solar Opposites<\/em> are sticking around Earth for a while longer!<\/p>\n

The Hulu animated series has been given an order for a fifth season producer and co-creator Mike McMahan announced yesterday at New York Comic Con.<\/p>\n

“We’re already working on it, and it is awesome!” McMahan stated to reporters shortly before he made the announcement at the packed Solar Opposites<\/em> panel, promising more “a lot more great Solar Opposites, a lot more of the Wall, lot more SilverCops, a lot of really cool stuff coming.”<\/p>\n

The news comes following the release of Solar Opposites<\/em>‘s third season this past July and a Halloween special – Sinister Halloween Scary Opposites Solar Special<\/em> – this week. Season 4 is expected sometime later in 2023.<\/p>\n

Created by McMahan and Rick And Morty<\/em> co-creator Justin Roiland, Solar Opposites<\/em> centers on four roughly humanoid aliens who escaped the destruction of their home planet Shlopr and whose ship has crash-landed on Earth. They bring with a Pupa, a slug like creature designed to ultimately grow to enormous size and terraform a planet into a new homeworld for the displaced Shlorpian people. Unfortunately, the four find themselves fascinated and slowly being assimilated into Earth culture, and eventually science-fiction high jinks ensue.
