The Flash<\/strong> will be racing into theaters a little earlier than expected.<\/p>\n

The DC Comics-based superhero film starring Ezra Miller will now be landing in theaters on June 16, 2023, a week earlier than the previous June 23rd date. The move positions gives the film an additional week at the box office before the arrival of Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny<\/strong> on June 30th.<\/p>\n

The movie does put the film on its starting block the same weekend as the new Pixar movie Elemental<\/strong> and Sony’s R-rated Jennifer Lawrence-starring film No Hard Feelings<\/strong>. Previously, on the the 23rd, The Flash<\/strong> had the weekend entirely to itself.<\/p>\n

The film will see the Scarlet Speedster teaming up with a version of Supergirl (Sasha Calle) and two versions of Batman (Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck) in an adventure rumored to cross over across a number of parallel Earths.<\/p>\n

The Flash<\/strong> has been a long time in coming to theaters. Miller was cast in the role of police scientist Barry Allen, aka the super fast superhero known as the Flash, back in 2014. They first appeared as the character in a brief cameo in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice<\/strong>, the Zack Snyder-helmed film that was set to be a cornerstone of an interconnected cinematic universe for the numerous DC Comics characters. Miller also made another cameo appearance in Suicide Squad<\/strong> (also 2016) before joining the main ensemble of heroes in 2017’s Justice League<\/strong>. Miller made one final cameo on the CW’s television version of The Flash<\/em>, when his version of Barry briefly met the series’ version of Barry (Grant Gutsin) in the midst of a storyline involving alternate universes crashing into each other.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
