as Paramount is announcing <strong>Tracy Flick Can&#8217;t Win<\/strong>, a sequel to 1999&#8217;s <strong>Election<\/strong>, which will be going to their streaming service Paramount+.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the novel <em>Election<\/em> by Tom Perrotta, Reese starred as an ambitious high school student, determined to win the student council presidency while her teacher (Matthew Broderick) looked on with growing concern at her ambition. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/election-sequel-in-the-works-reese-witherspoon-1235277907\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to the <em>Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>, in the sequel, also based on a recently published tome from Perrotta, we will find Tracy as &#8220;a hardworking assistant principal at a public high school in suburban New Jersey and still struggling to fight her way to the top.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Writer\/director Alexander Payne, who adapted <em>Election<\/em> back in the
