Minx<\/em>, the series cancelled just last month by HBO Max, has found a new home at Starz.<\/p>\n

Created by Ellen Rapoport, the comic series stars Ophelia Lovibond and Jake Johnson as two 1970s magazine publishers who put out the first porno mag aimed at women, the series first season premiered on HBO Max in early 2022, with the streamer renewing the show for a second season in May shortly after the first season’s conclusion. HBO Max reversed that decision this past December, just as the show was just finishing up its post-production phase for that ordered second season.<\/p>\n

Starz is owned by Lionsgate, who also produces Minx<\/em>. The deal includes not only the new, upcoming second season but rights to stream the first season as well.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Rapoport said – <\/p>\n

I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Starz family, and for the opportunity to introduce Minx to a brand new audience. We’ve found the perfect home. Our writers, cast and crew have created something truly special in season two, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Minx<\/em> is just one of a number of series that HBO Max has recently given the ax to in an effort to reduce costs with post Discovery-merger chief David Zaslav looking to find $3.5 billion in savings.<\/p>\n
