Do bears, bear? Does streaming, stream?<\/p>\n

Moonlighting<\/em>, the iconic 1980s romantic-comedy mystery series, is finally coming to streaming, specifically Hulu, next month. The series will become available on October 10, marking the first time that the series has been available to be watched since the early 2000s, when it was released on now out-of-print DVDs.<\/p>\n

Series creator Glen Gordon Caron announced last October<\/a> that there were plans in the making to get the show back in front of audiences via streaming. Deadline<\/a>‘s reporting is stating that when Moonlighting hits Hulu next month, it will sport a new high-definition transfer derived from the show’s original film elements. As the series was originally broadcast and released on DVD in the older standard definition, this will be the sharpest the series has ever looked.<\/p>\n

Moonlighting<\/em> is perhaps best remembered in equal parts for serving as the launching pad for new comer Bruce Willis and for the tabloid stories of his behind-the-scenes fighting with his co-star Cybil Shepherd. Shepherd starred as model Maddie Hayes who is forced to run a detective agency she owned after her accountant embezzled everything else she owned with Willis as David Addision, the fast-talking and wise-cracking private detective. The pair shared an intense chemistry on camera with millions tuning in for off-the-wall mysteries with a large dose of romantic comedy, will-they-or-won\u2019t they banter. However, the behind-the-scenes bickering between the two allegedly delayed shooting on an already complicated production process that routinely put the show behind schedule. Over the show\u2019s four full seasons \u2013 season one was a mid-season replacement and so had a shorter episode order \u2013 the show never met its obligation for a full twenty-two episodes.<\/p>\n
