He may have died in prison, but there is more to the story of real estate heir-turned-convicted murderer Robert Durst on the way.<\/p>\n

HBO has announced a six-episode second season for The Jinx<\/em>, the 2015 documentary series that proved instrumental in helping prove that Durst definitely committed at least one of the three murders he had long been suspected of committing.<\/p>\n

The original Jinx<\/em> miniseries examined the circumstances surrounding the 1982 disappearance of Durst’s first wife Kathleen McCormack, the 2000 execution-style murder of longtime friend Susan Berman and the 2001 killing of neighbor Morris Black. Series director Andrew Jarecki conducted new interviews with several people connected to Durst, as well as Durst himself, and unearthed new evidence that supported the suspicions that Durst was behind his wife’s disappearance as well as the deaths of his friend and neighbor. The series concluded on a chilling note as Durst, who was still wearing a small lapel microphone from an interview with the documentary’s producers that was still on, muttering to himself in a bathroom that he “killed them all, of course.”<\/p>\n

In the course of their investigation, Jarecki turned over newly discovered evidence in the form of specific handwriting samples that linked Durst with an anonymous letter that Beverly Hills police department received shortly after the discovery of Berman’s body in her home. Durst was arrested in New Orleans on March 14, 2015, the morning before the finale episode of The Jinx <\/em>was set to air on HBO. In October of 2021, Durst was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. That sentence came to an end the following January 10, when Durst died of cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n

According to the Hollywood Reporter<\/a> –<\/p>\n

The Jinx \u2013 Part Two<\/em> will feature interviews with people who had not previously come forward, as well as Durst\u2019s prison phone calls, and other new information that connects Durst to the murders of Susan Berman and Morris Black, as well as the disappearance of his wife, Kathleen McCormack.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
