Another Saturday Night Live<\/em> cast member has left the show. Featured player Molly Kearney has announced that they will not be returning to the late night sketch series ahead of its fiftieth season starting this fall. They made the announcement via social media.<\/p>\n

“Yall that\u2019s a wrap on my time on SNL!” Kearney wrote. “Reflecting on the amazing 2 seasons I got on this show, it was such a dream come true. So incredibly grateful for this period in my life. So much love to all my big hearted buddies behind the scenes who make the magic happen every week. So many bald caps, so little time. It was a true honor to work with such a talented group of writers and DON\u2019T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE CAST.” They also gave an appreciative shout out to the other three cast members who joined the show at the start of season 48 in the fall of 2022 when they did – Marcello Herna\u0301ndez, Devon Walker and Michael Longfellow.<\/p>\n

Kearney made show history when they became the first nonbinary comic to join the cast of the long running series.<\/p>\n

Kearney’s departure comes just a day after main cast member Punkie Johnson announced that they were leaving the show<\/a>. Announcements of cast members exiting the show usually come closer to the start of each season. The fiftieth season of Saturday Night Live<\/em> kicks off on September 28.<\/p>\n
