The nomination total sets a new record for most nominations ever received by a foreign language film. <\/p>\n<p>Emilia Perez captured nominations in the Best Picture, Director, Lead and Supporting Actress, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography and Original Score and Song categories among others.  Additionally, star Karla Sofia Gascon has become the first openly trans woman to be nominated in the Best Actress category.<\/p>\n<p>The Brutalist and Wicked, Part One each received ten nominations, going head-to-head with Emilia Perez in the Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress categories. Although the Brutalist\u2019s Brady Corbet got a nod for Best Director, Wicked\u2019s Jon Chu did not.<\/p>\n<p>Oscar front runners A Complete Unknown and Conclave each garnered eight nominations while Anora received six. Contenders Dune Part Two and The Substance each took five nominations.<\/p>\n<p>The complete list of nominees can be seen below.<\/p>\n<p>Emilia Perez\u2019s thirteen nominations puts just one shy of joining the rarified club of films that share the record of fourteen nominations.
