Now, we find out his job duties will include far more than that.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20110805094757\/http:\/\/www.variety.com\/article\/VR1118017689?refCatId=10\" target=\"_blank\">Variety<\/a>&#8216;s coverage of the story reveals that Whedon will also be reworking Zac Penn&#8217;s original script for the project as well.<\/p>\n<p>Reworking can mean making gentle tweaks to the script of a full scale rewrite. Personally, I&#8217;m hoping for the latter. Nothing against Zac Penn per se, but as I said in the last article, writing ensemble casts for genre-specific work is in Whedon&#8217;s wheelhouse.
