\"\"<\/a>Comic book movie news can pop up when you least expect it. Such as, when an actor of a number of comic movies lets some juicy info slip while promoting his latest film.<\/p>\n

Collider.com<\/a> has an interview with Samuel L. Jackson, who is promoting his latest, Mother and Child,<\/strong> and in it, he reveals some scoop about the upcoming slate of Marvel films. Of course, any Marvel movie fan knows that he is playing Nick Fury <\/strong>in Iron Man 2<\/strong>, reprising his role from the first Iron Man. <\/strong><\/p>\n

It appears Nick Fury, and, therefore\u00a0Jackson, will be appearing in Captain America: The First Avenger <\/strong>and The Avengers<\/strong> but not in Thor. <\/strong><\/p>\n

When asked why he wasn’t in Thor<\/strong>, this is what Jackson said:<\/p>\n

I have no idea. I\u2019m not in charge of making those decisions. I thought I was. They said I was in the trades, and I was like, \u201cOh, I\u2019ve got a job!\u201d And then, I called my agent and she said, \u201cNah, you\u2019re not in it. They misprinted.\u201d I was like, \u201cWell shit, they need to pay me just \u2019cause they put my name in it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And when asked about the possibility of a Nick Fury solo movie, Jackson said this:<\/p>\n

Collider: Do you have any desire to campaign for your own Nick Fury film?<\/p>\n

Samuel: The Avengers <\/em>is my own starring vehicle for that character, pretty much.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Collider: But, isn\u2019t that far away?<\/p>\n

Samuel: That\u2019s not that far away. It\u2019s in February. It\u2019s just February. I\u2019ve got time to get in shape and everything.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, The Avengers <\/strong>will\u00a0start shooting in February 2011, which is in line with the film’s May 4, 2012 release date, and will, according to Jackson, be a starring vehicle for Nick Fury.
