\"\"<\/a>1.<\/strong> Iron Man 2 (Paramount, 4,380 Theaters, 124 Minutes, Rated PG-13): <\/strong>Here comes Iron Man 2,<\/strong> and now the summer can truly begin.<\/p>\n

I have to say that I have some nagging doubts about this film. And that’s before I saw some of the less-than-positive reviews.<\/p>\n

My concerns started when the cast list came out and I saw all the Marvel characters shoe horned into the film. Bill’s Rules of Bad Comic Book\u00a0Films #1: The more comic book characters you put in the film, the less likely it will be good (see: Batman and Robin<\/strong>, Batman Forever<\/strong>, and Spider-Man 3<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

But before that, it all looked good. Most of the same creative personnel were returning. It was written by Justin Theroux, who wrote the better than average Tropic Thunder<\/strong>. It should have been dead solid perfect.<\/p>\n

Maybe it’s just a case of the first film raising expectations too high for all those critics. But Bill’s Rules usually don’t lie.<\/p>\n

I guess I’ll find out on Tuesday. I wanted to go see it tonight, but work reared its nasty head. Tuesday will be the first free day I’ll where I can see it.<\/p>\n
