This year’s San Diego Comics Con is winding down today, and much of the news from yesterday and today seem to be more comics and television\u00a0focused than film. But there was still a few interesting announcements made, so let’s start of with the best one.<\/p>\n
Evil Dead 4<\/strong>– While talking about his return to the\u00a0horror genre\u00a0with Drag Me To Hell<\/strong>, director Sam Raimi let slip<\/a> that he is gearing up for a new installment of his Evil Dead<\/strong> series. Raimi stated-<\/p>\n I love working with Bruce Campbell and he\u2019s like Allison [Lohman, star of Raimi\u2019s Drag Me To Hell<\/strong>]. He\u2019s super willing to do anything to make it right. He\u2019s a very funny guy, but mostly he\u2019s got this quality where he will physically do anything to get the shot done right, so I would love to work with Bruce again because I\u2019d love to test those limits. I\u2019d love to make another Evil Dead<\/strong> picture. And actually that\u2019s in the wheelhouse. I\u2019d like to work on it with my brother Ivan [Raimi] when he comes up next week.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Now if he can get this made as well as a film adaptation of Evil Dead: The Musical<\/a><\/em>, then all will be right in the world!<\/p>\n Terminator: Salvation<\/strong>– The fact that it still is in production didn’t slow down director\u00a0McG from attending the con to start drumming up interest for his upcoming Arnold-less Terminator<\/strong> sequel, which he states has now been given studio permission to go for an R rating. Joining him on the stage were cast members Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, Anton Yelchin, and Sam Worthington. Star Christian Bale was off promoting some little art film<\/a> that was opening in Europe this week. Newsarama<\/a> has a pretty good report on the proceedings.<\/p>\n I Am Legend<\/strong> prequel- Speaking of unnecessary follow-ups, Francis Lawrence revealed<\/a> that they are currently trying to come up with a storyline for a possible prequel to last year’s Will Smith film. Hopefully, they’ll be able to give some reasoning for his character’s entirely unexplained motivations in the film’s third act.<\/p>\n Suspiria<\/strong> remake- Director David Gordon Green told the folks over at ShockTillYouDrop<\/a> that the script for his planned remake of Dario Argenta’s classic horror film Suspiria<\/strong> is finished and that he is looking for financing to make it happen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
