According to the press release from 20th Century Fox, the new material will include &#8220;new creatures and action scenes.&#8221; Unfortunately, there is no word as to whether any new story or character moments will be added as well.<\/p>\n<p>Presumably this extended cut will also be featured in the <strong>Avatar<\/strong> Ultimate Edition DVD\/Blu-ray release <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2010\/03\/16\/avatar-to-get-multiple-dvdblu-ray-releases\/\" target=\"_blank\">scheduled<\/a> for November.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">James Cameron&#8217;s Avatar will be making a limited, 3D-only return engagement to theaters on August 27, presumably because they just didn&#8217;t make enough money the first time around.
