\"\"<\/a>1. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (Disney, 3,385 Theaters, 111 Minutes, Rated PG): <\/strong>You have to hand it to Disney. They’re a multi-billion dollar media conglomerate, could probably foolishly waste money on original properties, but instead they are thrifty and expand bits of their pre-existing properties into full length films.<\/p>\n

I mean, after they took a ride from their theme park and made it into the successful Pirates of the Caribbean <\/strong>franchise, repurposing a segment from their legendary Fantasia <\/strong>film into a full-length\u00a0movie should be easy.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, this won’t be a full length feature focusing on Mickey Mouse borrowing a wizard’s hat and robe and creating magic to classic music. It features Nicolas Cage training Jay Baruchel in the ways of the sorcerer.<\/p>\n

For what it is–your typical young man finds himself thrust into being a hero–it seems to be quite well made.<\/p>\n
