Another day, another story on casting for Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards<\/strong>. There’s been a few different bits announced, so we’re going to lump them all together into one big post.<\/p>\n

First, and most exciting, is the news that Simon Pegg is in discussion to play a British soldier who joins a band of Jewish-American soldeirs, lead by the recently cast Brad Pitt, on a mission to take out a certain group of Nazi soldiers. As anyone who has seen Hot Fuzz<\/strong> can attest, Pegg knows how to handle a gun and look like a right bad bastard doing so.<\/p>\n

Nastassja Kinski is also finalizing her deal to play German movie star Bridget Von Hammersmark who falls in with the soldiers. We haven’t seen much from her in the past several years, as she has seemingly been prefering to act in smaller films. It should be interesting to see her back in a major motion picture.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the casting news for today is the addition of David Krumholts as one of the soldiers.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, we haven’t seen any actors who Tarantino normally calls on. There had been some speculation that Uma Thurman might land the part that Kinski did. But so far, no Michael Madsen or Samuel L. Jackson.<\/p>\n
