I have to admit that the combination of fantasist Neil Gaiman working with stop-motion animator Harry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas<\/strong>, James And The Giant Peach<\/strong>) on a project makes me positively giddy with anticipation. Both are superb craftsman, and there is much promise to be found in a collaboration between the two.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, the two are working together on a project, an adaptation of Gaiman’s book Coraline<\/em>. In it, a young girl discovers a hidden, mahical doorway in her home, beyond which lies a different dimension where she has different parents. Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> scored a video behind-the-scenes look at the films production.<\/p>\n
