BlobFest 2008 Details Announced

It was a half century ago that a metor digorged a small gelatinous mass that would go on to terrorize a small town until Steve McQueen put a stop to it.

On July 11 to 13th, the Philadelphia suburb of Phoenixville, where a majority of the film The Blob was shot, will hold its annual festival celebrating its famous invader. A street fair, Tin Foil Hat, Scream and Short Film Competitions and, of course, several screenings of The Blob in the same theater used in the film highlight the activities planned.

For a complete schedule of what will be happening at BlobFest as well as photos and reports from previous years’ Fests, check out our sister site, The Blob Site.

Yo, I was the kid who won the Shorty contest last year and they asked me to present this year’s Shorty award. It’s gonna be so much fun, I really can’t wait!
