Trailer: The Farrelly Brothers’s THE THREE STOOGES

Although I’m not much of a fan of the Three Stooges, I am fortunate enough to have seen the two short films that they made in 3D. I almost know what it would be like to have Moe poke me in the eye. Today, I hadthe Stooges assault me eyes in a new and even more violent way, with this trailer for the Farrelly Brothers new comedy that places Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes, and Will Sasso  into the shoes of Moe, Larry and Curly. Personally, I don’t see how this can be any good. The Stooges were not characters in a specific story so much as they were screen personalities. The idea of trying to have modern day actors recreate their chemistry feels like some sort of weird acting exercise gone horribly wrong.

You can watch it below if you dare.

The Three Stooges is scheduled to open on April 13, 2012.
