With all the press focusing on The Avengers opening up this weekend, you would be hard pressed to remember that there are two other major superhero films opening up this summer. One of them, of course, is Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, the finale to the director’s Batman trilogy. The new trailer features quite a lot of Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman and Thomas Hardy’s Bane and paints a wider picture of how the story will play out. Interesting to note that Hardy’s voice sounds much clearer here than in previous trailers, so I’m guessing that perhaps there has been a rethink over how that is going to be presented.
The trailer will hit theaters Friday in front of The Avengers. The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20.
