Reaction To The Colorado Theater Shooting

Like many of you I imagine, I woke this morning to the horrific news of the shooting spree at a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado that has as of this writing left 12 dead and many more injured. Sad experience with previous incidences like this suggests that that death toll may rise.

I’m sure that as the hours and days go by we will learn much more about the shooter’s motivations. But for now, the horror of it all is rooted in its apparent randomness and that a night out of fun could turn so tragic.

I know I speak for everyone who contributes here that all out thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families at this terrible time.

At a time like this, it seems almost frivolous to continue talking about movies. We’ll be back later this weekend with our usual blend of news, reviews and opinion. But until then all I ask is that you take a moment or to send a prayer, good thoughts, positive vibes or whatever your personal belief system allows for towards those affected by this tragedy.
