I’ll be honest. The idea of a Lego movie sounded pretty dumb. That is, until they started announcing things like films based on the children’s board game Candyland or the goofy 1980s toy Stretch Armstrong. Plus, with Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller in charge, there was a good chance that this could come out, at the very least, watchable. And as the first trailer that has just been released shows, The Lego Movie looks rather promising. Besides, it actually manages to get some of the members of the Justice League up on the big screen.
