First Look: The Robotic Sentinels Of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Since the first film, fans of the X-Men franchise have been hoping to see the robotic mutant hunters known as Sentinels of the comic books on the big screen. Since they were a key element in the comics storyline Days Of Future Past, they knew they would finally get their wish when it was announced that that was going to be the basis for the next installment in the franchise. While the film won’t be in theaters until next summer, Twentieth Century Fox is giving fans at San Diego Comic Con this weekend a sneak peek at how the cinematic Sentinels will look like.

(And thanks to the folks at Bleeding Cool, you can see what the Sentinels, or at least their heads, will look like too. Click on the link to see more pictures and click on each picture below for a larger version.)

X-Men: Days Of Future Past opens next May 23.
