Ty Simpkins, the boy genius who helped Tony Stark repair his armor in Iron Man 3, has landed a lead role in the upcoming Jurassic World, according to Deadline, though they have no word as yet as to what part he will be playing in the sequel’s story, or even what the film’s story will be.
So far Universal has not confirmed any casting news, but it has been previously reported the Bryce Dallas Howard was in discussions for a lead role.
Simpkins has been blazing himself quite a career over the past few years. He made his feature film debut in the Spielberg-directed War Of The Worlds, and followed that up by appearing in the horror hit Insidious and its sequel, Revolutionary Road, Pride And Glory and Little Children.
Director Colin Treverrow will be gathering his cast early next year to start shooting. Jurassic World is scheduled for theaters on June 12, 2015.
