Remember that sequence in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol where superspy Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) was repelling along the side of one of the world’s tallest buildings in Dubai and known that it was actually Cruise on the side of of that building and not a load of CGI trickery? Of course you do, it was a standout setpiece of the film. Well, if you were wondering how thy were going to top that sequence for the upcoming fifth Mission: Impossible film, the just released trailer and poster for the film offer a hint. Granted I don’t think that Cruise is actually hanging on the side of a plane, I tend to doubt that the film’s insurer would allow anything like that from happening. Still, it looks pretty exciting.

Joining Cruise for this new installment in the franchise are returning stalwarts Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Jeremy Renner as well as newcomers Rebecca Ferguson, Sean Harris, Simon McBurney, and Alec Baldwin. Mission: IMpossible – Rogue Nation hits theaters July 31st.
