We’ve finally gotten a title for the fifth film in Paramount’s Bourne franchise, and it is a bit underwhelming. Rather than follow the usual naming convention of The Bourne Identity/Ultimatum/Legacy/Noun, the new film will be titled simply Jason Bourne. I suppose that could make sense in the way that when we last saw him, former black ops assassin Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) had finally regained his memories and found a sense of identity. But as the 30-second spot tells us, just because he has regained his memory doesn’t mean that he knows the whole truth.
