Benedict Cumberbatch Is The New Voice Of The Grinch

Busy day for Benedict Cumberbatch fans. We started off the morning with the premier of the first trailer for his starring turn in Marvel’s Doctor Strange. We end the day with the news that the popular British actor will be voicing the titular role in a new animated version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

The new film, which will hit theaters on November 10, 2017, is of course based on the perennial favorite by Dr. Seuss. Pete Candleland and The Secret Life of Pets co-director Yarrow Cheney are collaborating on the film at Illumination Entertainment. Yes, that is the same studio that produced the rather lackluster 2012 The Lorax Dr. Suess adaptation. Hopefully, they have learned from their previous missteps and will deliver something better this time. I mean it can’t be any worse than the last time they adapted How The Grinch Stole Christmas into a film. Right?
