Rebecca Fergusson Signs For MEN IN BLACK Reboot And DOCTOR SLEEP

Rebecca Ferguson

Hot off her second appearance in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Rebecca Ferguson has signed on for major roles in two anticipated upcoming genre films – Sony’s Men In Black reboot/sequel and the Stephen King adaptation Doctor Sleep.

Not much is known about her appearance in the untitled Men In Black film, though Deadline is describing it as a “plumb role.” Franchise newcomers Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are set to star as agents of the secret organization that polices aliens who are hidden amongst humans here on Earth, with Emma Thompson returning from Men In Black 3 to play their boss.

For Doctor Sleep, the big screen adaptation of King’s classic The Shining, Fergusson has been tapped to play Rose the Hat, the leader of a secret cult who murder children who demonstrate that they have the same psychic energy displayed by Danny Torrance in the original book and film, in order to consume their power. Ewan McGregor is set to star as the grown up Danny with Mike Flanagan directing.
