Star Trek fans got their first look at the upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy series at New York Comic Con earlier today as the first trailer for the upcoming series was premiered during the Con’s “Star Trek Universe” panel.
The new series, which spins off of the recently concluded Star Trek: Discovery, sees Holly Hunter starring as the Chancellor of the recently reopened Starfleet Academy, overseeing its first class of cadets being played by Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard and Zoë Steiner. Discovery cast members Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman are slated to appear. Paul Giamatti is set to play the first season’s recurring villain.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is set for a January 15, 2026.
