Broken in half, perhaps by its less than stellar reception in the United States, the two halves of Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse will be screening internationally as two separate films. An expanded version of Tarantino’s Death Proof, with Kurt Russell as a crazed stuntman who stalks and kills women with his souped up muscle car, screened at Cannes this past spring to positive notices.
