Ford At Fox On TCM

I’f you’re like, me have probably held off picking up the huge Ford At Fox DVD collection in hopes that someone will see fit to give you the 24 film collection this holiday season. (Hint, hint!) The set presents some of the bestwork that legendary director John Ford did during his 32 years at Twentieth Century Fox studios, with 18 of the selected films making their DVD premier. Many of the films have been digitally restored and there are a plethora of extras in the set including a new, feature-length documentary, Becoming John Ford, and an exclusive hardback book featuring lobby card reproductions and rare, previously unpublished stills.

But if you’re hankering for a sneak peek at some of the films included in the set, Turner Classic Movies will be showing ten of the set’s films between December 9th and the 11th.

During TCM’s Silent Sunday Night midnight feature, the channel will screen Ford’s recently restored 1920 film The Iron Horse. Then on Monday and Tuesday evening, TCM will screen another nine films from Ford including Drums Along The Mohawk, How Green Was My Valley, Young Mr. Lincoln and My Darling Clementine.

You can check out TCM’s complete schedule here.
