Pixar’s Stanton Working On JOHN CARTER OF MARS

There’s not much to say here, except that Andrew Stanton has confirmed to The Pixar Blog that he is currently working on the script for Pixar’s adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic pulp hero John Carter Of Mars.

Stanton confirmed he had started on the screenplay on Friday during an interview in Toronto promoting the upcoming Pixar film Wall-E.

Pixar had been working on developing the project since at least last year, after it had passed through the hands of several other directors including Jon Favreau, who passed in order to do Iron Man, Robert Rodriguez and Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow director Kerry Conran.
