New VALKYRIE Photos, Release Date Moved Up

When Bryan Singer’s upcoming World War II thriller Valkyrie was moved to a February 2009 opening from its originally announced August 8, 2008 date, many Hollywood tongues started wagging, suggesting that the Tom Cruise headlining vehicle was in some sort of trouble. Well, Warner Brothers has just moved the release of the film back to this year, Christman Day, right at the end of the season generally considered the time when Academy Award hopeful films are released. Surely, a strong show of support for the film by the studio. However, Nazis for Christmas?

However, if you can’t wait until December 25th to find an eye-patched Tom Cruise under your tree, feel free to enjoy some of these new pictures from the film that have begun showing up online.
