MacFarlane Still Planning FAMILY GUY Movie

Still waiting for that Family Guy movie that seems to get talked about every now and then?

Well, series creator Seth MacFarland addressed the possibility of Quahog, Rhode Island’s favorite family making the transition from the small to the big screen in a quickie interview with Wired, which was held in conjunction of MacFarland’s other series, American Dad, reaching its 100th episode.

Fox wants it. We know what we want to do with it. It’s just a question of finding the time. That’s why The Simpsons took so many years to do theirs. It wasn’t because they didn’t know what they wanted to do with it. They just couldn’t fit it into the schedule. There’s so much to do for a weekly animated series — twice as much as you have to do for a live-action show. So, we’re finding time where we can. We’re in the early stages right now.

Pretty much a non-answer, and pretty much the same one that he gave almost a year ago in response to the same question. Still, I’m guessing that we will eventually see it at the local multiplex. As a fan of the show, I should probably say something along the lines of “I can’t wait!”, but I’m willing to if it means that the film will a good one.
