11 Criterion Titles Going Out Of Print

Attention collectors. Criterion has announced that 11 titles in the Criterion Collection will be going out of print at the end of the month.

Among the titles are five of their Luis Bunuel titles – The Discreet Charm Of The Bourgeoisie, Diary Of A Chambermaid, That Obscure Object Of Desire, The Phantom Of Liberty and The Milky Way. Also going out of print are John Schlesinger’s Billy Liar, Jacques Becker’s Touchez Pas Au Grisbi, the Ealing Studios classic Kind Hearts and Coronets, the heist film Bob Le Flambeur and Godard’s A Woman is A Woman. Criterion’s blu-ray of Nicolas Roeg’s The Man Who Fell To Earth rounds out the list of titles vanishing titles.

As of June 30th, Criterion will stop manufacture of the discs but will continue to sell the titles until they exhaust their supply. If t here’s a title on this list, I would suggest you get out and buy it now. As we’ve seen in the past, out-of-print Criterion titles has rocketed up to over $100.00
