Trailer: NO STRINGS ATTACHED

Let’s face it. When it was announced the Elizabeth Meriwether’s 2008 Black List script Fuckbuddies was actually going into production, no one really expected that title to stay on the project for too long. After flirting with Friends With Benefits, which was dropped due to another film already having that one, the Ivan Reitman-directed film know sports No Strings Attached.

After viewing the trailer below, I’m wondering about what other changes were made to the material. Meriwether’s original script was funny, but definitely R-rated. The trailer hints at the story’s heart, but I’m wondering if any of its edge has been blunted. (And anyone else catch the poster for Reitman’s Meatballs hanging on a wall at the 1:26 mark.)

No Strings Attached hits theaters on January 21, 2011.
