Noomi Rapace: PROMETHEUS Sequel Script Being Worked On

Prometheus-noomi-rapaceDespite the mixed reactions that Ridley Scott’s Prometheus received after months of building anticipation, I think that there are people who would still welcome a return by the filmmaker to the Alien franchise he created back in 1979. And it looks like Scott is starting to plan that trip.

In an interview with The Playlist, Prometheus star Noomi Rapace stated that Scott was already in the process of mapping out a sequel’s story.

They’re working on the script. I met Ridley in London a couple of weeks ago. I would love to work with him again and I know that he would like to do another one. It’s just like we need to find the right story. I hope we will.

Rapace couldn’t say whom Scott may be working with on the sequel screenplay. We already know that Damon Lindelof, one of the two credited writers on Prometheus, won’t be back due to the press of his commitment to other projects. And honestly, I am sure that many fans are probably relieved at that. Lindelof is generally being viewed as the one whose changes to John Spaihts’s original draft were mostly to the overall detriment of the film.
