It’s a virus that will eventually bring about the fall of man and the rise of apes as the dominate species on Earth. Or at least that’s what we were told in Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes. So it’s perhaps perversely fitting that Twentieth Century Fox is engaging in some viral marketing already for next summer’s sequel Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes.
This weekend at San Diego Comic Con, the studio has been handing out small bottles of hand sanitizer, with the phrase “Protect Yourself” emblazoned on them. They also contain a URL for SimianFlu.com, a viral marketing site that ties into the franchise’s virus storyline. You will also find this helpful Public Service Announcement there.
