Halle Berry is in talks for a co-starring role in the upcoming Kingsman 2, the sequel to last year’s sleeper spy thriller hit, Kingsman: The Secret Service.
According to Deadline, Berry will play the head of the CIA. It is also being reported that her deal would be for two films, which I suppose is a bit of a spoiler not only for the film, as well as for the plans that the producers seem to have for the franchise itself.
The film will see the return of Taron Egerton as a London tough who undergoes a Liza Doolittle-like transformation into a suave spy.
Matthew Vaughn will once again be handling the directorial duties, as well as co-authoring the screenplay with Jane Goldman.
There has been no announced start date as of yet, but with Kingsman 2 eyeing a June 16, 2017 release, it should probably be in front of cameras soon.
