Michael Pena To Play FANTASY ISLAND’s Mr. Roarke

Michael Pena Fantasy Island

Michael Pena has been signed to play Mr. Rourke in Blumhouse’s upcoming Fantasy Island feature film.

The film adapts the popular 1970s/80s TV series which saw a variety of guest stars arriving at the titular tropical location where their host, the mysterious Mr. Roarke, would grant their wishes, often through the use of what could possibly be magic. Of course, more times than not the end result of people getting their fantasies would have unforeseen consequences.

Ricardo Montalban famously originated the character on television with Malcolm McDowell stepping into the role for a short-lived TV revival in 1998.

Jeff Wadlow (Truth Or Dare) is set to direct from a screenplay he is co-scripting with Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.
