Marvel Studos is developing a new Fantastic Four film which will have Spider-Man: Far From Home helmer Jon Watts directing.
This is the first official announcement of a project coming from the Fantastic Four and X-Men related Marvel Comics properties that the studio acquired when Disney purchased Twentieth Century Fox who held the film rights to those characters.
The announcement came today during the Disney Investors Call in which the company rolled out a number of announcements for projects coming in 2021 and beyond.
No other creatives were announced as part of the project.
Kevin Feige, who made the announcement, had stated previously at the 2019 San Diego Comic Con that the studio was working on developing the property but disclosed no concrete plans.
